There are some worship experiences that I can not help but post over and over again. So many of us as Christians privately cry out to God to keep our focus on Him so that we can become everything that God wants us to be… but inside we are broken. The world wants us to believe that there is a pain that comes with brokenness, a shame that is enveloped in brokenness, but I’m here to tell you that the devil is a LIE. The word of God says broken is beautiful, and when we abide in God, in a place no one has to know about… Psalms 91 calls it a “secret” place. Then that brokenness, ugliness, un-Christian likeness, can be made whole and beautiful! We all need calibrating in our lives; no one is without fixing and asking for forgiveness.. so with this worship, I want to help someone release themselves from the pressure we sometimes carry in life. Enjoy
The question the world inquires is: how can I sit at the table of fulfillment and destiny? In order to accurately answer this question, we fist have to establish a truth. The error in finding destiny is that most of us are looking for the wrong thing. We aspire to gain, when life’s fulfillment comes when you learn to give. What do you have to give this generation, your community, your home? That is your purpose, that is your gift.
One lie the devil sells is that your goal, dreams, and aspirations will make you happy…will bring value to life, or will fix all of your problems. But the truth is that in achieving a goal or dream, you and I open a new door of opportunity, vision, and work. You stop working for the dream and begin working in the dream. Life will not become a vacation; it will set you on a destination that changes the world around you; and that my friend is an entirely new level of work. A work that starts on the inside and branches out onto the nations.
Become free, stop looking for the leprechaun at the end of the rainbow and find out how to create a rainbow of your own; Filled with colors, dimensions, and gold that people rarely see and spend their whole life running after. Prodigious freedom is seeing past the darkness of where you are to run toward the source of true light. Peace
Psalms 91:2 says “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God in Him will I trust.” The end of the scripture catches my attention the most, my God in Him will I trust. The end of verse 2 acknowledges that I will be in a situation in which I must choose whom I give my trust to. We are not in heaven yet, so we will go through both trials and transition. During transition we have a choice to make, will we lean on a relationship, education, or outside sources…or will we choose to put our trust in God? What we do in the course of transition will determine the trajectory of our future. If we make a habit of trusting God, transition would no longer be our downfall but our platform to greatness. Kill anxiety and frustration with faith and trust in God! Peace
Sometimes our greatest battle rests with ourselves. We know who we want to be, should be, could be … but there is something we battle which keeps us from reaching potential. This month I have challenged “self” and pushed to a point of desperation by cutting off something I love TV! Why, because I have to teach my flesh that it will be denied; my calling supersedes emotion or need to be coddled by entertainment. I had to tell my flesh yes, you may be emotional, or stressed, but you will perform at maximum capacity because we are representing the Kingdom of God, and there is work to be done. Comfort comes at the end of the day when you have maximized every opportunity to glorify God with the gifts and talents you were blessed with. Its time to stop working so hard to be comfortable and strive to be exceptional. The journey starts now…
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away
The word of God is not only truth, but it is life. This scripture is not a cute quote to put on your wedding invite, tattoo, or office desk… it’s a blue print from God our Father to His sons and daughters mapping out the reality of true love. The scripture is not a poem, it’s a standard. I challenge you to love yourself enough to hold “love” against a light and evaluate it. Judge love by its attributes; celebrate when it’s good, but if your love doesn’t match up with the love of the Father, then you need to dismiss the impostor and move on. The right kind of love inspires greatness. Peace.
I am so thankful to be in school right now. I’m in Sonship School of the First born, and it is literally changing my husband and I’s life. The first lesson breaks down the power of prayer and how you and I should say what God says. What does that mean? Instead of saying what ever comes to your mind when you pray, go into the word of God and find what God thinks about your prayer topic. True intimacy pushes you to find out more about the person your in a relationship with. Its time we find out what God sounds like vs. what we sound like when we speak aloud.
