Toddlers love to create and build and explore. Childhood is all about the journey, not the destination! So any opportunity you get to make a little masterpiece with your child should be taken up with enthusiasm. But that doesn't mean you must glue everything together or use paintbrushes. Regarding toddler crafts, we think less really can be more! These five simple toddler craft ideas are non-toxic and mess-free, perfect for when you're feeling like a bit of a crafting novice...or need some quiet time to read your parenting book!

1) Make an easy collage by cutting out pictures from magazines and gluing them onto a piece of cardboard. Your toddler will have fun choosing the photos and doing the gluing.

2) Create fingerprint art by placing some paper on a large piece of plain white paper. Have your toddler press their finger into a wet mixture (water and tempera or acrylic paints). Then use different colors of pigment to create something beautiful.

3) Write letters using sidewalk chalk on the driveway or sidewalk in your neighborhood. If you're feeling ambitious, try spelling out your child's name!

4) Cover a box with wrapping paper, tissue paper, or old maps, then add stickers or other embellishments.

5) Grab an old pillowcase, cut it into fabric strips, and sew them together into banners made out of fabric instead of a string.

Isn't That Genius!!!
